Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) ghee
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 4 cardamom pods, crushed
  • 1 cup (75 g) vermicelli, broken
  • 2 cups (475 ml) milk
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) sugar
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) golden raisins
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) toasted, chopped pistachios

Directions

  1. Melt ghee in a pan over medium-high heat. Add cloves and cardamom and sauté for 2 minutes.
  2. Add vermicelli and sauté vermicelli to golden brown, about 4 minutes.
  3. Add milk and bring to a gentle boil. Then add sugar, stir well, and simmer over medium-low heat for 5 minutes.
  4. Add raisins, stir, and then simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Garnish with pistachios and serve.
