Communications: Cell Phone Dialing Guide
Basic Calling Information
- Mobile phone numbers in India contain ten digits, and always start with "7", "8", or "9."
- When calling a mobile phone from within India, always dial the Domestic Access Code "0" before the ten-digit number. Do not dial this access code when calling from another country.
- When making an international call to a mobile phone in India, dial: India's country code [91] + ten-digit mobile phone number.
